The Inaugural NuWu Cup
When thinking about cannabis culture at its core, a few things immediately come to mind. Cheech and Chong, the pungent smell of rich earthy smoke, the insatiable munchies, and maybe even a particular world-renowned cannabis-centric event, famously hosting a friendly competition between cultivators for the top strain of the year.
As much as the event is a competition with entrants submitting their product for appointed judges to assess and score, it is also a celebration of the plant itself and the diverse and unique culture surrounding it. The emblematic, an almost ceremonial procession of stoners from all walks of life gathering to select and hand-pick the dopest dope around has become iconic, eventually resulting in the crowning of the chosen winners, and a title that garners attention and notoriety for the strain and cultivator in the cannabis community for years to come.
Attending such a festival is a dream come true for people early in their experience with cannabis and veterans alike. It can definitely feel surreal, especially considering that cannabis is still illegal in more than half of the United States. To help showcase what we as a community are capable of, and as a treat for the Nevada Cannabis Community, for the first time ever, NuWu Cannabis Marketplace is hosting its very own celebration for connoisseurs, cultivators, and competitors alike, The First Inaugural NuWu Cup.
The NuWu Cup is set to be a truly historic event for consumers of cannabis and retail establishments alike, where you can smoke and indulge in products that you have purchased from Nuwu Cannabis Marketplace while enjoying the atmosphere, grub on infused food like burgers and fries, and receive samples from the many vendors that will be present. You can also enjoy a wide selection of products from local Glass Shops, live music, an adult playground, and a singular experience that will be a true, one of a kind, 2-day open-air cannabis festival in the heart of downtown Las Vegas, just a few minutes away from Fremont Street.
If you are interested in attending this first-of-it’s-kind festival, you can pre-purchase a 2-day pass in-store at our gift shop downtown or at Nuwu North. The event runs from December 31st thru January 1st starting at 12 pm and ending at 5 pm on both days, and will include everything mentioned above. Get your New Year’s Eve pre-game going at the only open-air consumption weed-smoking festival in the history of Nevada. (Again, you can smoke and kick it at the festival to your heart’s desire.)

I lost my Nuwu Cup passes can I get another?
Yes, as long as the personal information you gave while purchasing the ticket matches, your name will be on the list.
Can I purchase products at Nuwu Cannabis Marketplace and bring it in to the event?
Yes, please keep products sealed in bag until inside event.
Can I bring my own smoking device like a Puffco or Dr.Dabber?
Yes. Please keep it limited to portable devices, no torches please. There will be a dab bar at the event for glass on glass low temp dabs.
Can I bring in my own Cannabis products?
Due to safety concerns, no outside cannabis products on the premises.
What type of Covid precautions are put in place?
Guest are asked to wear mask, unless they are eating or smoking. Employees are required to wear gloves and masks. While sanitizing frequently. Sanitizer stations will be set up all over the event grounds.
Can I purchase Nuwu Cup tickets the day of the event?
Yes, event tickets are available in-store at Nuwu Cannabis Marketplace.
