Beginners Guide: Navigating Your Dispensary Experience.
So you decided to dip your toes into the world of cannabis, and you're gearing up for your first dispensary visit. Firstly, you chose the perfect place for your first time. Nuwu Dispensary allows you to test your goodies in our courtyard after you buy them. Lucky you.
It can be a bit overwhelming, even if you do dabble a bit here and there. Follow our beginner guide to walk you through the NuWu sales floor (or any dispensary).

Educate Yourself Beforehand:
Sure we’re here to help. Our budtenders and dabtenders are here to help answer any questions. However, take time to familiarize yourself with some weed terms, terpenes and what kind of high you’re looking for. Ask about the difference between CBD, CBG, and CBN or what indica, sativa and hybrid strains do.
Check the Menu:
Just like you do before going to a new restaurant, check out the dispensary menu before going in. It’ll help get you familiar with what we have to offer and can help you budget out your goodies.
Bring your ID:
This seems self explanatory, right? But believe or not, some come without. Dispensaries in Nevada only sell to those 21 years and older with a valid ID. No ID, no weed.
Cash is King:
You’re in Las Vegas, so this can mostly go unsaid. Most dispensaries in the city, like NuWu, are cash only. Some may take debit cards, but it doesn't go without a fee. To avoid the extra charges we encourage you to bring cash. We have ATMs on site for your convenience.
Ask questions:
Ok you did your research, but there's so much stuff. It’s okay to be overwhelmed so don’t be afraid to ask questions. Our budtenders and dabtenders are trained to know and recommend goodies depending on the effects you are looking for. Ask them what their favorite strain is or what edible is the tastiest.
Start Slow:
If you’re new to cannabis, we advise you start with low-THC anything. From strains to edibles, starting low gives you room to find your perfect dosing. Edibles can have a delayed response and the effects can be for hours, so make sure you make those hours fun, not scary.
Take your Time:
There's no rush. Really, take your time. Especially as a first timer or newbie, taking your time helps you choose the right stuff. Dispensaries are meant to be a comfortable space for exploration, so enjoy the experience.
